Opening of the official Instagram account of the Governorate

Faced with the recent years’ changing habits in the use of communication and information technologies, the Governorate of Vatican City State, is updating and digitizing its communication.

As part of this process, it has opened an Instagram Account: Governatorato_SCV.

The account will mainly report on the activities of the governing bodies, namely the President, the Secretary General and the Deputy Secretary General, and of each Directorate. The most important information will be transmitted via audiovisual media.

The aim of setting up the account is to reach people and organizations that chiefly get their news from social media, in an effort to enhance wide-ranging communication on the workings and activities of the Governorate, and make it increasingly more available.

Communication through traditional media and communication on our public relations activities (press releases, articles and institutional website www.vaticanstate.va) will continue to be of central importance, and will not be replaced, but rather, be made more complete.
